Friday night, we went to our church's Fall Festival. The girls wore their official Halloween costumes of Goth Girl and Asoka, the Paduan (it's a Star Wars character). Getting them ready was a bit of a hassle with makeup and finding costume pieces and trying to get stuff to fit, blablabla.
The girls had fun, but were disappointed they didn't win the costume contest.
Saturday was the neighborhood's Fall Festival. And I was tired. And I'd volunteered to make cupcakes for the cake walk, so halway thru making them, I said, "Go get ready for the festival! Costumes or not, I don't care!" So we ended up with a volleyball player, and Lily from Hannah Montana. Much easier.
And we got home to discover Mike had made turkey chili! Bonus!
