If you're taking yr 7 YO to the ER because the dog accidentally nipped her? Wear comfy clothes. 'Cause you're going to be there at least two hours. And bring some Valium. For both of you.

OK, I don't really have any Valium, but DD1 needed 2 stitches on her lip tonight, and she was FREAKED OUT. They ended up having to roll her in a blanket so she couldn't wiggle. Didn't keep her from screaming, though.

This was not the evening I had planned.
